“I guess you knew and blew a good thing” are the words echoed on the hook of Nas’ latest lyrical massacre (or message depending on your view) to ex-wife Kelis. As Nas reflects on his past relationship with Kelis in his new song “Bye Baby,” one thing is clear—there was once a lot of love between the two.
In “Bye Baby” Nas reminisces on the happier times between him and Kelis and even takes us on a voyage of their Bonnie and Clyde relationship. Visually appealing to say the least, the video evokes images of Nas and Kelis’ journey as a couple. One of the highlights of the video are the small glimpses of 90′s R&B singer Aaron Hall belting out the chorus.
