5 Of The Manliest Drinks Around

If a picture paints a thousand words, what does your drink say about you?

Judgement is something not withheld, whether you admit it or not, when you see a man drinking a sugary bright colored drink. So, what are the guidelines for your drink to be considered an acceptable level of masculinity? Well here are a few options for you to choose from:

1. Old Fashioned

Usually for the more experienced man, this classic drink combines Bourbon or rye whiskey poured over a sugar cube, with a splash of water and some bitters. Only a true man can swig one or two of these down at lunch and not be passed out before his meeting at 2pm.

2. The Godfather

Of course you can’t go one sentence into talking about this drink without mentioning Marlon Brando. This iconic drink is probably the manliest it’s going to get. Ordering this at the bar will earn you the respect of all those in earshot. Scotch whisky or Bourbon topped with Amaretto will put hairs on your chest – not for the faint hearted.

3. Vodka Martini

The name is Bond, James Bond. Don’t let the glass fool you, this drink is perfect for the gentleman who has a touch of class, and is ready to throw around his charm. You could be sitting in a casino or playing online casino games, but either way it will be your trusty companion. Simple yet sophisticated.

4. Classic Manhattan

A drink born from the prohibition era, this legend puts together whisky, vermouth and bitters topped with a maraschino cherry. Now normally garnishes aren’t the manliest thing in the world, but this drink is so hard-core it can definitely stand up to a bright red cherry.

5. Negroni

Vermouth, Campari and gin come together to form this delectable aperitif named after Count Cammillo Negroni in the 1920’s. This Italian born drink definitely sets the standard for masculinity, and with an orange peel twist to garnish, you’re good to go.
