Each year, automakers, media, and car enthusiasts descend on the city of Detroit for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). One of the biggest automotive events of the year, NAIAS is known for showcasing new cars, trucks, SUV’s and prototypes. The annual show did not disappoint this year with a bevy of new, improved, and concept cars slated to hit dealerships in the near future.

We have been on-site in past years to inspect many new cars up-close and personal at the Detroit Show, but this year, we decided to stay in warm California and read all about the newest cars on display. There were many drool-worthy cars and trucks, but below are our top-6 picks from the impressive line-up of vehicles that we would love to take for a drive.

Lamborghini Urus Yellow

Lamborghini Urus

The new Lamborghini Urus claims to be the world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle, and who are we to argue that this groundbreaking car is not? With a streamlined design, distinct engine sound, and pure, outstanding performance embedded in the DNA of the Lamborghini car we have all come to know, the Urus is the first five-seater super sports car. The Urus’ distinctive silhouette integrates a V8 bi-turbo engine capable of going from 0-62 MPH in just 3.6 seconds.

2019 Mercedes Benz E 53 Coupe

Mercedes-AMG E53 Coupe

Mercedes-Benz introduced three new 53-series models: the CLS, E-Class Coupe, and the E-Class Cabriolet. While all three models offer distinctive features such as a twin-blade radiator grille, an A-wing designed front bumper, AMG-specific side sill panels, round exhaust tailpipe trim in high-gloss, and a rear bumper with diffuser insert, it is the Mercedes-AMG E53 Coupe that caught our attention. The sporty looking E53 Coupe has AMG-specific seat upholstery which includes red seat belts, trim elements in carbon fiber, and an AMG badge. The 3.0L 6-cylinder in-line engine with exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor is capable of top speeds of 130 MPH.

Ford Mustang Bullitt The Drive

The 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT

The talk of the North American International Auto Show, Ford’s 2019 Mustang BULLITT was perhaps the most iconic car at the show. It definitely was one of the biggest unveilings, thanks to the help of Molly McQueen, legendary actor Steve McQueen’s 30-year-old granddaughter. “I feel like with Bullitt, the car chase is synonymous with the movie,” said Molly McQueen,

The Mustang is the epitome of an American muscle car. With the reveal on the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1968 movie “Bullitt,” the new limited-edition Mustang BULLITT is sure to become a great selling car. If you are in the market for a fast car and are lucky enough to snag this special Mustang BULLITT, you are in for a treat. The soon-to-be classic ride features a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 475 horsepower with the ability to reach top speeds of 163 mph.

The Bentayga was once billed as the “world’s fastest SUV” when it boasted a V12 engine, The Bentayga may have dropped four cylinders with the introduction of the Bentayga V8, but the new cutting-edge V8 engine will still deliver power thanks to its twin-scroll turbochargers located inside the ‘V’ of the engine. With bold, contemporary styling cues, the Bentayga V8 is brilliantly responsive and has the ability to rapidly accelerate from 0-60 MPH in just 4.4 seconds.
