What’s going on with the world? It’s been an incredible week between the Boston bombings, the Texas explosion, and yes America’s sweetheart Reese Witherspoon being arrested for disorderly conduct. Did you ever think you would see a Reese Witherspoon mugshot?

The Oscar-winning actress was arrested in the good old state of Georgia after she put on a “performance” for a state trooper who was attempting to arrest her husband Jim Toth on suspension of a DUI. Her hubby is now facing failing to maintain a lane while driving and DUI charges.

Reese reportedly became upset after a state trooper instructed her hubby to pull over into a nearby parking lot. She was absolutely livid at the trooper for giving her husband a sobriety test and a breathalyzer. “Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer,” said the state trooper. “I told Mrs. Witherspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet.” The trooper also claims that Reese stated that “she was a ‘U.S. citizen” and that she was allowed to “stand on American ground.” The trooper went on to say Reese pulled the Hollywood card and asked, “Do you know my name?”

Reese who was in Georgia to film the indie film “The Good Lie” clearly thought by flexing her Oscar-winning acting skills she would be able to talk her way out of the situation. Sadly, all her performance got her was an official Hollywood mugshot. Do you think Reese is still feeling “The Good Lie?” A couple that gets arrested together stays together in Hollywood, right?
