Ford Police Interceptor Stealth

Ford Stealth Police Interceptor

Inspired by top-secret airplanes, the new Stealth Ford Police Interceptor is sleek, streamlined, slightly sinister and mixes muscle with an air of mystery. The special Police Interceptor Stealth concept manages to be flashy yet still able to fly under the radar. As someone who is notorious for getting a speeding ticket at least every other year, I do not like where the police are headed with all these unmarked vehicles.

The new Stealth has been blacked out as much as possible – smoked tail lamps, sinister 22-inch wheels, tinted windows and black trim all around the car. It gives the illusion of “there, but not there” says designer Melvin Betancourt who drew inspiration from the SR-71 Blackbird, the original stealth airplane revealed in the ’60s and considered by many aviation experts to be the ultimate aircraft.

A 3.5-liter V6 engine delivering at least 280 horsepower and E85 compatibility is 25 percent more efficient than the 4.6-liter single-overhead-cam V8 offered in the current Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. And an all-new 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged, direct-injection EcoBoost™ V6 engine will deliver at least 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque across a broad rpm range.

What all this means is speeders and criminals be aware that the man is coming for you!
