The 2011 NBA All-Star game at Staples Center was as star-studded as it appeared on TV. Steven Tyler, P. Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Michael Rappaport, Bruno Mars, Dustin Hoffman, Serena Williams, Angela and Vanessa Simmons, Rihanna, Ciara, John Legend, Lil Wayne, Chris Tucker, Neyo, Nick Cannon, Justin Beiber, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ellen Pompeo, and of course Jack Nicholson to name just a few were all in the building for this year’s event.

From the T-Mobile magenta carpet which started across the street at the Nokia Center, through the secret tunnels and passageways into the Staples Center, my experience was unforgettable. I have been to several NBA All-Star games, but will admit this one had to be the most special. This All-Star game was an experience I will always remember because I decided to go to the game literally an hour before tip-off and I did not have a ticket. Yes, you read that right I went to the game without a ticket!

Not only did I walk the red magenta carpet and manage to walk into the arena through a special tunnel right onto the court, but I also had the pleasure of mingling with a few celebrities. Going to Michael Jordan’s exclusive NBA All-Star party (was on the guest list)this weekend at the late Michael Jackson’s old Beverly Hills mansion was pretty cool, but let’s face it have you ever heard of someone crashing an NBA All-Star game without a ticket? I won’t reveal how I did it, but I will say it’s great to have a celebrity friend or two that doesn’t mind you tagging along!
