After a 14 month hiatus from the Octagon and being KO’d in his previous 3 fights, many fans including myself were hoping to witness a Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell comeback. Unfortunately, this was not the case as Rich Franklin used a devastating right hand to KO Chuck. Franklin who suffering a broken left arm knocked out 40-year-old Liddell with a counterpunch 4:55 into the first round at UFC 115 ending Chuck’s storied career. No one can deny that Chuck gave the sport all he had. The real question now is whether or not we have seen the last of “The Iceman” in the cage. With a career filled with highs and lows, any true fan of the sport would have been excited to see Chuck leave the Octagon on a more positive stage.
