Calling 50 Cent a rapper would be remiss. Whether he’s involved in flavored water deals, acting, or showing up at NASCAR races pushing headphones, one would be foolish not to recognize that this guy has just a bit of power. As if acting wasn’t enough, 50 Cent is flexing that power as Executive Producer of a STARZ Original Series show appropriately titled “Power.” The show which was created by Courtney Kemp Agboh (The Good Wife) is a visionary crime drama set in two different worlds – the glamorous New York club scene and the brutal drug trade. 50 will have a recurring role of Kanan, an old friend of the main charector James “Ghost” St. Patrick’s played by Omari Hardwick. Other cast members include Lela Loren, Joseph Sikora, and Naturi Naughton who will play the role of Ghost’s wife and confidant, Tasha St. Patrick. Naughton is best known for her role as Lil’ Kim in the biopic film Notorious about the life and murder of The Notorious B.I.G. After watching the trailer we were hooked (no pun intended).
