For Levi’s Pioneer Sessions 2010 Revival Recordings, Levi’s asked a dozen of their favorite pioneering artists spanning multiple genres to record a song. Each re-crafted song will come from a roster that includes the likes of The Kills, Passion Pit, Nas, The Swell Season, Dirty Projectors, The Roots and many more.
To commemorate these special recordings, Levi’s will release two new songs per week that will be available as free downloads, over the course of the following six weeks. Along with the song, Levi’s will offer exclusive photos, behind-the-scenes video and additional content that celebrates the enduring importance of the song. The first song released is Nas’ rendition of rap legend Slick Rick’s classic “Hey Young World.”
