Virtual Reality is no longer a clunky helmet and weird hand motions in the air. Today’s experience is more a computer-simulated 3D world that makes you feel you’re really part of the environment you’ve chosen to explore. And, race fans, what better world to venture into than NASCAR?
More than a new season of racing debuted at the Daytona International Speedway this year. XFINITY brought NASCAR fans a more up-close experience of the sport through their version of virtual reality in the XFINITY Zone activation space. You may be asking yourself, how close is too close for you? The mesmerizing virtual reality film allows fans to get a feel for NASCAR like never before — views from the spotter’s stand, a head spinning pit stop on pit road, and as a passenger with Daniel Suarez, the NASCAR XFINITY Series driver, for an exciting and wild ride on a race lap at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Bubba Wallace Jr. said of the experience, he was “blown away by how close you are to the action…I know our fans are going to love it. XFINITY is changing the way fans experience NASCAR.” With a driver endorsement like that, we feel confident you’ll love the opportunity to trade up your “factory model” ride for a few moments of the true NASCAR raceway experience.
